2. Upon receipt of the motor, inserted the switch in the handle then mated the two halves of the frame.
3. Attached the battery to the ne ... Read more w motor before insertion into the frame and tested just to make sure it would function properly after reassembly
4. Removed the gear box from the inoperable motor and attached to the new one.
5. Inserted the motor into the frame, and attached the driver gear assembly. Biggest problem was finding a retaining ring tool small enough to reattach the gear retaining ring. Couldn\'t find one so used a retaining ring tool to expand the retaining ring enough to insert a screwdriver holding the ring open for reattachment.
6. Attached the motor assembly covers, a significant problem without inserting the bottom half first and making sure that the wiring was inserted into the proper guide grooves. Feel it was pure luck finally getting the top half to fit.
7. Attached the two handles, front and rear
8. Reattached the chain guide, chain, and chain cover.
9. Filled the oil reservoir.
10. Attached the 18v battery and was completely surprised that I hadn\'t fouled something up.
11. Had three screws left over, but finally figured out where they belonged.
12. Not a pleasurable experience, but far less expensive than replacing the chain saw.
Chainsaw did nothing when triggered.
