This is an authentic Husqvarna replacement part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with chainsaws. The metal spring is part of the rear handle and is used to provide tension on the trigger to keep the trigger pressed outward. This item is available as an individual replacement part.
Removed the old handle half that was left and the right side that is attached to the upper handle . Removed the torsion mount springs and the air filter housing . Transferred all the necessary parts then installed the new right half with the upper handle and then the throttle lock and trigger with the return spring which was slightly conf
... Read moreusing when the old parts were missing so I used the parts breakdown from e replacement for the placement and finished assembling the rest and the repair was successful thank you, all the part were right the first time around
Removed the old trigger,throttle lock and spring.
Cleaned out the broken pieces of trigger.(most of it was where the pin holds the trigger in place)
Reassembled the new trigger with the new lock and spring.
I used the old pin.
I tried to keep all the old parts connected to see how they went together.
First snap the trigger into place and use a small hammer to drive the pin in. It took me the most time to figure out how the spring goes in. The end with the circular part pushes into the hollow in the back of the trigger. After that, the long trigger lock just gets pushed down into the handle until it snaps in. I had nothing to go on but

I used a pin punch to remove the broken trigger.
Replaced the broken trigger and the spring and the throttle lock.
Installed the missing screw.
Installed the new decals.
