Product Description

?

The purpose of a piston ring is to create an airtight seal inside the cylinder. This piston ring is an authentic manufacturer-approved replacement part that is specially designed for use with Husqvarna and Jonsered chainsaws. A worn or broken piston ring will allow combustion gases to escape the seal and enter the crankcase, this would cause low compression and a loss of power. Replacing the piston ring should resolve this issue. This part is made of high-quality material and is sold individually.

I misdiagnosed this from the beginning. I thought carburater problem but even a new carb didn\'t help. I thought air leak on manifold boot but changing that didn\'t help. Then I sprayed starting fluid on the crank seals when running and revs went very high. I ordered seals before I found the drive side bearing loose. The crank assembly com es with bearings and seals.
You have to disassemble the complete saw to replace this unit. I made my own flywheel puller using the threaded holes of the recoil fingers.10-32 threads. Stuff the rope in the spark plug hole to lock the piston to remove the clutch. You also need to switch the piston from the old crank assembly to the new one.The crank assembly does not come with a wrist pin bearing. Might as well replace the piston ring as you are this far. Inspect the piston and bore as you can buy this as an assembly also. If you can do all this you don\'t need my instructions. Honestly, you may as well buy a new saw at this point. My saw is running like new now but I did buy a new saw.
