This is a genuine Poulan, Husqvarna and Jonsered part for use with Chainsaws.The Recoil starter pulley spins the flywheel to start the engine. This part is sold individually. The most common reason for replacing the starter pulley is when it is broken or stuck, causing the rope to not rewind and the engine to not start. The tools that you will need to replace the starter pulley are a Torx head screwdriver and needle-nose pliers.

Starter puller was simply worn out and when I removed it of course the starter spring unwound. Starter rope worn but not broken
