just set the replacement part in place...
I might mention that the first replacement part I received was broken in transit. A second one was sent immediately, with only a modicum of hassle.

Remove top cover and air filter
Remove old choke lever
Install new lever
Replace air filter and cover
Fire it up!

Took the top cover off my saw, removed the air filter and installed the new choke lever, saw fired right up back in action!

Removed top cover , removed damaged part, reinstalled replacement part, reinstalled top cover.

Choke control broke

1. Removed the air filter cover with the clips.
2. Screwdriver removed the screws that hold the top cover down.
3. Removed broken choke control.
4. Replaced broken choke control.
5. Screwed the top cover back down.
5. Clipped the air filter housing back over the top cover, all done.

I disassembled the carb (using your exploded parts diagrams) and found the choke lever was missing. After reassembly (with fresh gas) the chainsaw started up immediately and runs well. I also replaced a screw in the air filter base.
