This item has been sourced from the original manufacturer and is intended to be used with chainsaws from Husqvarna and Jonsered. The metal spring is used to connect the clutch shoes. The spring keeps the shoes drawn inward when idling and allows the shoes to expand to engage the drum when the RPM is increased. This item is sold as an individual replacement part.
