This is a genuine Husqvarna part for use with Chainsaws. The chain guide plate holds the bar to the clutch. The most common reason for replacing the chain guide plate is if the Plastic housing is wearing (or melting) beneath the guide bar, the bar plate is worn or damaged from the chain, bar oil is not circulating or the oil is not reaching the chain. Here is a list of tools that are needed to install the chain guide plate a chain adjustment tool (scrench); or ratchet/socket/wrench set, flat-blade screwdriver, long-handled screwdriver, and a small hammer.
