This is a genuine replacement sprocket found underneath the side cover assembly of a chainsaw. It is sold individually. It sits in between the E-ring and gasket. The sprocket engages and drives the chainsaw chain. This is a high wear part, that is commonly replaced. Worn sprockets can cause the chainsaw to skip, jerk, drag or stretch. A worn sprocket can affect the efficiency of the chainsaw and can cause other components connected to it to wear faster. This is a crucial part of your equipment and should be replaced immediately if damaged.
