This is an OEM part that is sourced directly from Echo for use with a chainsaw. The purpose of the chain brake assembly is to stop the chain in motion and is also used to cover the bar connection preventing injury from a broken or loose chain. This is made of plastic and metal components and includes the sprocket guard plate.
