This tension spring is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer. The Shaindaiwa spring composed of metal, and is compatible with several chainsaw models. This item is fastened onto the shoe clutch, giving a cushion to the movement of the clutch. Needle nose pliers, bailing wire and a screwdriver are helpful in making the repair. This part is sold individually.

I followed a you tube video that actually changed the bell housing but got me far enough I could figure out the rest. I suggest the use of small shims to hold the spacing on the clutch shoes.

Clutch spring broke and the anti vibration cushion broke
Removed clutch cover removed clutch and replaced broken spring put it all back together then removed anti vibration screw and installed new cushion it\'s not difficult at all. The hardest part was stretching the clutch spring and getting it in the holes but a pair of needle nose pliers works great just stay with it don\'t get frustrated a

1 Removed the chain cover assembly
2 Removed the chain and bar
3 Removed existing broken springs using needle nose pliers
4 Inserted new springs and pulled to extend using bailing wire while pushing into place with pliers.
5 Replaced bar, chain, and cover
