This is a genuine replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. The cylinder gasket is commonly found in Echo chainsaws and engines. This part is made of flexible plastic, and is used to seal the connection between the cylinder and the crankcase. You may require an Allen wrench or screwdriver when replacing this item. The cylinder gasket is sold as an individual replacement part.
Removed air filter cover and filter, handle, cylinder cover, spark plug, compression release valve and muffler.
Loosened carb to access rubber fuel mix intake pipe.
Removed cylinder, covered crankcase, removed piston and associated parts in the kit, and the gasket.
Prepped crankcase for new gasket and checked fitment of

Installed the lubed piston, ring and cylinder and all parts described above in reverse order.
To get the new ring to seat properly I put a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder prior to insralling the spark plug. With the plug installed I cranked it over until it fired off and ran it for a couple minutes to get the ring seated.
