This is an authentic replacement starter assembly, it is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Echo chainsaws. It is the mechanism that allows a user to pull-start the engine, over time any of the components may wear out and begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. It is a complete assembly which includes the durable plastic housing, the starter pulley, the starter spring, and the pull rope with the grip, please note the hardware to secure it is sold separately.
