This replacement part has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with Echo chainsaws. The piston ring is used with the engine oil to create a seal between the combustion chamber and the crankcase. Damage to the piston ring can cause a break in the seal that allows gasses to enter the crankcase causing a loss of compression. It is recommended to drain the fuel and remove the spark plug to begin this repair. A Torx driver, screwdriver, wrench set and small nose pliers are needed to install the piston ring. This item is sold individually.
