Product Description

?

This replacement adjustment screw is an authentic OEM sourced item that is specially designed for Echo chainsaws. Its purpose is to allow user to adjust the chain tension. Saw chain tension should be checked and adjusted as needed before each use. If the chain is too tight it will compromise the engines power due to increased friction and it runs high risk of breaking. If the chain is too loose it can come off the bar becoming a serious danger for the user. Please note this durable metal adjustment screw is sold individually.

I removed the outer enclosure and chain/bar which allowed access to the tensioner and screw. I just unscrewed the old bent screw and put the new one in its place. There was a small clip that fit over end of the tensioner screw which keeps the screw from sliding out of its track. It is very easy to miss this clip which I almost did and it is a necessary part to make the tensioner screw work properly.
