This is an authentic Echo replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with chainsaws. The metal drum is used to house the clutch. As the clutch rotates and expands the shoes grip the inside of the drum causing the drum to rotate and the connected sprocket drives the chain around the bar. This item is available as an individual replacement part.
