Removed the rope starter wheel from the starter assembly. 1 screw.
Threaded rope through wheel, then through rope guide channel on starter assembly, then through rope handle.
Attach rope starter wheel to the starter assembly.
Cut rope to length that keeps handle tight agains ... Read more t assembly when retracted, leaving a tail on handle to make it easy to further trim after break in.
Installed starter assembly on chain saw.
Started chainsaw numerous times to seat and stretch new rope. Adjusted knot in handle to keep rope tight against assembly now that it has seated and stretched.
