This is a genuine Presto replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the 09907 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring/Air Vent is two-fold. The sealing ring is used to create a seal between the Pressure cooker lid and the pressure cooker pot. In the event if the pressure regulator fails, and to much pressure builds up in the pot, the Air Vent will pop out of the lid releasing the excess pressure in the pot.

Removed the old ring. Cleaned the area in the lid where the ring is placed. Inserted new ring, removed the old air vent and replace with it with the new one.

Gasket and air vent needed to be replaced and steam gauge was not accurate on my pressure canner.
1. Removed the steam gauge with an adjustable wrench and replace with the same wrench.
2. Used pliers to replace air vent.
3. Just inserted the sealing ring.
Very easy!
I removed the old seal from the lid, then clean the slot that the seal had been in. I then pressed the new seal in the lid. Then popped the old vent out and installed the new vent.
I inserted the gasket into the canner lid but there was almost 2 inches too much gasket for the canner lid
