It is the belt that would spin the brush roller. Over time rubber belts tend to stretch and wear our requiring replacement. It is recommended to replace these belts every 6 months to ensure top performance. Please note, this belt is sold individually. Replacing this belt is a simple job that only requires a screwdriver. • Remove the bottom plate • Remove the brush roller and the old belt • With lettering on outside of belt slide new belt over motor pulley • Insert agitator through belt and place belt in belt guide on an agitator • Grasp agitator firmly and fit it into position • Turn agitator making sure belt is not pinched between agitator and agitator shield • Reassemble and test the unit

Searched internet to diagnose the problem. Stretched/worn belt, bad bulb. The most difficult part was finding out part numbers and how to make the repairs, since I did not have the machine manual. Another online search uncovered the manual which listed part numbers and had complete directions to disassemble the head to replace the belt and bulb. Only seven screws to remove.
Another search to find a source of the needed parts took me to the eReplacementParts website. Ordering was easy and shipping was prompt.
Initially I thought you sent me the wrong size belt, since the old one was nearly twice the size of the new one! It certainly was stretched. Much more effort was required to install the new belt as was necessary to remove the worn one. Push and turn to put in the bulb, put pieces back together and installed the seven screws...done.
Machine works like new. Thank you for having the needed parts.
