Removed the rear cover. Disconnected the brush from the brush holder. Pulled back the brush spring and removed the old brush and installed the new brush, then put the spring back. Did the same for the other brush. Then attached the rear cover.
Removed handle to access brushes and speed control.
Removed wires to old control, and discarded.
Removed old brushes.
Replaced both and installed handle.
Worked perfectly.

random orbit sander-aggressive mode was shot due to no gears left in sling ring?
not finished yet, as I need to order internal parts yet! Otherwise, replacement of brushes was a snap, and the bearing should be elementary as well. The Bosch products are well build and well designed. Nice work Bosch Folks!
Use screwdriver to remove screws from cover. Remove cover. Use pick or small flat screwdriver to lift and displace brush retainer. Unplug brush connecter. Install new parts and reverse operation.
Removed the brush cover.
Removed the electrical connections
Pulled the brush springs back and to side.
Removed the old brushes.
Installed the new ones.
Put the springs back
Re-connected the electrical connections.
Replaced the cover.
Remove the screw from the back of the tool and pull it back
Disconnect the brush leads
Pull back the brush springs and remove the worn brushes and install the new brushes
Connect the new brush leads
Screw in the back housing in
1.Remove phillips screw bottom of handle and slide lower part of handle off assembly.
2.With pick move spring holding pressure on brush out of way and disconnect spade terminal
3. Pull brush out of holder
4.Assemble in reverse order
