This replacement part is an authentic Black and Decker jar base/collar. It is specially designed for use with blenders. This part screws to the bottom of the jar, it helps to secure the blade assembly and seal to the jar. Be careful not to over tighten this collar, they have a tendency to crack. It is made out of black plastic and it is sold individually.

Put the blade assembly then the gasket in the bottom cap, then threaded it on the bottom of the jar.
