I have found that one of the metal bushing for the rubber drive roller wear and allow the roller to turn enough that belt adjustment can\'t correct tracking. I usually change both bearings although only one is really worn. The secret to changing them is driving the bearing out with a 6\" steel rod through the hole from the opposite side.
... Read moreIt is also a lot better for the tooth drive belt to remove it by removing the nut and sliding out the drive roller axle. Reassemble the same way, hold the toothed pulley and belt in working position and slide the drive roller axle through it and spin the roller to screw on the nut.
Disassembly of tool body was relatively simple.
Realizing shaft of driven drum was left hand thread required a custom spanner socket made out of an old socket cut to fit drum splines.
Drive out the old bushings and wait for new parts.
When I received the new bushings I realized the internal and external dimensions were

At that point I chucked the bushings in the lathe, cut them to the proper length and chamfered the end to remove burrs and installed.
