I was about to buy a new fan set up for a large room for about $180. Would have to go up in the attick by removing the access door in the ceiling and mess around with the exhaust tubing and more. The. It hit me. What if I can fix the existing set up?

1. Removed the fan cover.
2. Removed one screw and the fan assembly .
3. Looked up part online.

Removed old fan motor, installed replacement motor. Anyone doing this project needs to keep old parts until completing. Needed to use stud screw from old unit to reattach housing.

What should have been just unplug fan, remove one screw, order part, replace part, replace screw, by my own doing turned into a real fiasco. I tried to remove the entire fan box, but the piping behind it had to be removed from the outside, then on the inside, then on the back of the fan, I broke the louver that flips up when the fan is tu rned on. I wound up in a sweaty mess.
All I needed to do, had I had some experience with this, was unplug fan, remove one screw, order part, replace part, replace screw.
The part I ordered from you was spot on, fit perfectly, and was in in 5 minutes.
The next time it will be much smoother, but that wont be for another ten years.
