This grille assembly is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part. It is specially designed as a cover for Nutone exhaust fans. This assembly includes an off-white plastic grille and (2) metal springs used to secure it. Replacing this part is a simple task that does not require any tools. • Squeeze grille springs together • Insert into slots in motor plate • Push grille up against ceiling

Fan was old and did not work any more

Removed fan cover
Removed housing screw
Unplugged unit and removed
Reverse with new unit. Perfect fit and issue is resolved.

Power unit didn\'t work

1. Unplugged power unit.
2. Pulled power unit down from plug side.
3. Slid power unit out of tabs on opposite side.
4. Slid new power unit into tabs.
5. Checking to see power cord was free, lifted power unit up on plug side until it clicked into place.
6. Plugged in power unit.
7. Tested with swi tch, Voila!
7a. Turned it back off to install Grill Assembly, below.
8. Pinched springs on Grill Assembly together and slid them into slots on sides of power unit.
9. Pushed Grill Assembly up flush with ceiling.

Cheap plastic molded part broke off grill face during first cleaning of fan blades

Replaced the bracket into the new grille face and installed it into the fan insides. The replacement face\'s clips that were molded into the grille were of a different design and much much sturdier than the original piece.
