The starter chain had been removed from the on and off switch already and a wall switch had been installed. But we wanted to be able to close the flap to keep the smoky air from coming in the unit. So by reattaching the chain we can now close it. (The tenant had been running it day and night to keep the smoke out) He has to remember t o open the flap when he turns the fan on. Not ideal.
