1) Removed the grill from its mount.
2) Pulled the cord to keep the fan from working
3) Removed the electrical connection plug.
4) Checked the existing cord (replacement for the original chain) and found it still in excellent working condition.
5) Fixed the chain guard to the plastic grill.

7) Fitted the new grill over the single mount and screwed on the new grill mount.
8) Placed the new chain and chain pendant in a place where they will be handy when needed (as spare parts).
