This is an authentic component which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Broan and Nutone ceiling heaters. The thermostat is a special type of sensor that detects temperature. Unfortunately, over time it may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement to ensure your equipment functions properly. Refer to the diagrams for your model when performing this repair. Keep in mind the thermostat for lamps is sold as an individual item. You may need a screwdriver to replace this component.

Disconnect Power at Main Circuit Breaker Box
1.Take out light bulbs
2.Take off deco cover/shield-2 springs keeps it in place
3.Take off power input wire box cover-1 screw on the inside-this is the main power input box to the whole unit
4. Pull out all wires possible-as needed-especially the fuse-carefully
5. Separate the fuse and it\'s wires from end to end-make certain to view which end is which looking at thermal element inside the clear plastic shield
6. Snip off thermostat wire-end connectors-if the power-in wire is rigid copper wire, instead snip off 2-3 inches away from original connection to save some stranded wire for a wire-nut.
7. Strip original snipped off wire ends in the unit for normal wire-nut connector fits
8. Connect both thermostat wire ends with good wire-nut connectors--make certain to align which end is which of the thermal element inside the clear plastic shield as it was when you started.
9. Replace wires into power input box along with new thermostat, then replace power input box cover with care
10. Replace deco cover, light bulbs(each 250 watt max), turn on power, done!

Replaced thermostat and fan with new ones. Also replaced electrical box , the one that came with it didn\'t want to tighten good. Now heat lamp and fan working great again.

Googled why does my fan work but not the two light sockets.
Everything that came up, pointed to the thermostat wire, so I found the wire on my bath fan and ordered a new one.
Once it arrived I changed it out and both light sockets worked again.
Pretty easy task after watching a how to video on YouTube too.

looked up model # after replacing the bulbs the timer and checking the fuse box . The lights and fan are working again. all i used was a wire stripper and phillips screw driver. cost about $10.00

Took grill and bulbs out. Found thermostat wire, in house connection box accessible through the removable plate inside the housing. Cut wires from old thermostat and spliced new one in.
