Adaptable to other 14" Chinese-made bandsaws.
When the blade-tensioning arm casting broke on my old Reliant bandsaw, I found Reliant is apparently now defunct....I knew most 14" Chinese/Taiwanese-made saws are nearly identical so I found this top wheel spindle assembly for Porter Cable bandsaws (apparently also now discontinued) took a chance and ordered it and it fit perfectly! I had to stack a few washers on the spindle to take up the slack and align it with the lower wheel....it's now working perfectly! I even ordered a spare in case it breaks again but the adjustment arm on the PC part seems beefier than the Reliant OEM...I'm thinking about ordering a few more spare parts for my saw while they're still available as fewer and fewer manufacturers are making these saws...

Unplugged the power
Removed blade
Removed upper wheel
Removed upper cabinet/wheel cover
Removed blade tensioning screw
Removed upper hinge.
Replaced parts in reverse order
Removed nut from top bandsaw wheel and removed wheel.
Removed wheel height adjustment threaded rod and spring.
Removed two screws and washers to remove cast iron part.
Removed broken cast iron adjustment and replaced with new one.
Reversed order of operation to complete repair.
