The upper support cracked and Ridgid does not carry that part. I was able to get it here. It was an exact replacement that bolted right up. I did have to clean up the threads in one hole with a tap, other than that it was a very fast fix that makes a bandsaw that was unusable like new.

Ridgid 14\" Bandsaw, Mod. BS14002, 6 years old. The post support bracket p/n 823601 was cracked. Contacted Ridgid, was told that they no longer carry this part, due to its \"antiquity.\" 6 years old.

1. Removed broken bracket.
2. Took off other parts one at a time and put them on new Jet/Powermatic bracket.
3. Installed back on bandsaw.
4. Re-calibrated roller, blade alignment, etc...
5. Vowed to never purchase anything from Ridgid again.

On various chat-boards, a couple people said they had to rea m and re-thread a couple bolt holes.
I did not, all old bolts fit just fine.

I was discouraged when I found out Rigid discontunied the part, but after reading your website from that the Jet saw had a matching part. Once receiving the replacement part I took off one section at a time. It was easy to replace.

The part was no longer available but ereplacementparts recommended another part. After reading other experiences replacing the upper support with this part, I ordered it. We had some issues figuring how to take the old one apart and then realized we needed a longer machine screw to hold it on. Once we purchased a longer screw, all was perfect.

I looked online to see if I could get a replacement part. Their website said that that part was no longer manufactured. I then came across a blog which listed your replacement part as a substitute.
So I ordered it. When it came in, I sat it down side by side with the broken part. Then one piece at a time started removing parts from the broken piece and attaching it to the new part. I then just had to attach it to the saw and everything worked.

I had to remove the guide bracket and all the components from it.
Fitted the new bracket and most parts fit but I had to file the guide bracket so that the upper blade guide would fit into the slot in the guide bracket.
I also ran a tap through the screw threads to clean them up.
Reassembled the saw and adjusted. All wor ks well!
