Quick delivery, perfect fit.
A great value and easy fix for this older band saw. Replacement part looks to be strengthened in the area that failed on the original part.

Perfect fit, more heavy duty
Hardest part was cutting the old one out. After that setting the old pins back in the new one was easy. The blade tracks much better now.

Used on Rikon BS1400
Rikon part wasn't available, but knowing most older 14" bandsaws had common dimension parts I took a chance. It ended up that the holes for the pins were very sloppy and let the upper wheel actually touch the sheet metal. Replacement went well except the old pins were a interference fit to the new hinge assembly. Brass hammer and drift pin made it work, but if I ever need to change it again I will need to replace all the parts.

minor mod to fit a Tristar bandsaw
I had to drill out the side holes a bit larger to fit the pins on my Tristar VBS-14 but otherwise this worked fine. If it worked with the Tristar, it will probably fit a Delta 14" bandsaw as well.

Fixing my bandsaw
I tried to buy the entire tensioning unit but everywhere was out of stock. Once I took the piece off I realized that I could just replace one piece of it and was able to order it from ereplacement parts. Got it quickly and I’m and running.

Disassembled upper saw housing and removed hinge assembly. Cut broken part to remove pin that holds assembly in housing. Save the pins to reuse in new piece. Reassembled new hinge into housing. Used vice to compress pins into place. Then reassemble upper saw housing and adjust.

Put to much stress on blade tension adjustment and snapped part
The old part does not \"disassemble\" it needs to be cut out on the inside of the pivot pins. The square housing that holds this part in is aluminum and is fragile. Use a cut off wheel to remove the center of the broken part. Use the new part as a reference of how deep the pivot pins go, and don\'t cut the pins. That is the hardest part o
... Read moref the whole job. Once the broken part is cut out, remove the pins and reinstall them into the new part through the old square housing with a hammer and punch. Careful to hold the square housing in a vise to set the pivot pins. The new part that I received seems to be a better manufacture than the original. More \"beefy\".

Align wheel and check for blade tracking
First you must remove the upper wheel from the shaft assembly. A single nut and washer allows the wheel to be removed. Then remove the 2 screws that secure the wheel hinge assembly to the upper shroud. You will then be able to lift the complete upper wheel tensioning assembly off. There are 2 small pivot pins that must be removed from the

I had to \"dress\" the area around the 2 pivot pins with a file in order for the assembly to drop into place. Not a big deal. It took no more than a couple of minutes to complete.
The quality of the new part was much better than the original.
The replacement part was a perfect fit. The installation was complicated by the dowel pins which were both press fit into the assembly. Since they were pressed in blind holes there was no option to drive them out with a punch. The extra time and difficulty involved cutting through the casting with a Dremel tool to release the pins so the

Drilled hole in old hinge and drove out hingepins.Made new pins from xacto knife handle turned them down on the lathe.Reassembled saw put blade on wheels and adjusted new hinge for proper blade alignment. Saw runs perfect. Not bad for a dump find.
Fit perfect for my Sheng Tsai 14GÇ¥ bandsaw.
Only thing was I had to knock out the mounting pin on the old one and cut them to size for the new one.
No big deal.
Slap the nut holding the pulley was a different thread size.
Had one in my junk drawer. Works great.
1) remove upper wheel cover
2) loosen saw band and remove the blade
3) slide hinge and bracket assy up and out of the frame.
4) remove the two retaining pins and remove broken hinge.
5) reverse procedure to reassemble.
Removed everything to get to assembly. Used grinding wheel to cut out pins. After they heated up with the grinder they fell out. Installed old pins to new assembly. Reinstalled machine and it worked great after a few adjustments. Glad to have my bandsaw up and running again
