Genuine Delta replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the 1341607 Guide is to keep the Bandsaw blade in a straight line to obtain accurate cuts. As the blade wears down the guide it can be moved forward to compensate for the wear. Over time the guide will have to be replaced It is advised to replace all four at this time.

Remove the old guides. Then insert the new guides just behind the teeth of the blade. Space the distance between the guides and blade with the dollar bill.

Replaced cool blocks or guide blocks on delta band saw

Easy. Remove old guide blocks from band saw, some dis-assembly may be required on parts that hold guide blocks in place. Install new guide blocks close to the band saw blade but not touching the blade. Be sure to cut the power to the band saw before starting work.

The old band saw guides - both upper and lower - had worn away

Upper guides
1. Slackened the upper cap head clamping screws on either side using an allen key.
2. Removed the old, worn out guides.
3. Inserted the new guides, adjusted them for their correct positioning (lightly touching the band saw blade each side).
4. Re-tightened the cap head clamping screws.

Re peated the above on the lower guides - replacement procedure is identical.

Band saw blade kept coming off

3 Adjusted clearance by putting a dollar bill between the guide and the blade.

Drive train broken, blade guide worn out

1. Opened case covering band wheels.
2. Removed lower wheel with adjustable wrench.
3. Removed the broken drive train gear from the lower with Phillips screwdriver and replaced with new part.
4. Loosened drive motor with adjustable wrench to provide slack to ease replacement of lower band wheel.
5. Once lower whe el was secured back in place, adjusted the drive belt tension and tightened back the drive motor.
6. verified that the band was still tracking well on the drive wheels.
7. Removed the blade guide block that was at the end of it\'s life by loosing the securing screw with allen wrench.
8. Installed the new guide block, set the tension against blade, and secured with allen wrench.
9. Verified that band was now working properly.

Unplug machine and open to expose blade guides. Use allen wench to back off pressure of guide and push out old guide. Slide in new guide and tighten down (not too hard). Check to be sure blade is close but free to slide between new set of guides.
