The pinion gear attaches to the yoke. This is made out of metal and is sold individually. It is a genuine OEM sourced part which is specially designed for use with Shimano reels. During the installation process, a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench might be needed to replace this item. Over time this part may break and will need to be replaced.
