The handle goes between the handle nut and the friction washer. This item is available individually and is made of metal and plastic. It is a genuine Shimano replacement part used in compatible calcutta baitcast reels. A screwdriver might be helpful during the installation of this part. Finger knob would hardly turn

reel handle were ok except they did not fit the reels. The reel handles were but not comatiablr with the reels. Had to make adjustimates to both handles to fit shamino reels same size
