This door latch with the switches is a simple on/off mechanism that prohibits the dishwasher from operating when the door is open.

This door latch is a manufacturer-approved replacement part for your dishwasher. The door latch keeps your dishwasher closed during the wash cycle. If it is damaged, the door will be difficult to open and close. This is a very easy repair. To complete this repair, remove the faceplate from the dishwasher door, and disconnect the latch from the latch assembly. There may be a screw holding it in place.
