The proper guard for cutting
The type 1 guard was unavailable locally' I called e-Replacement parts. and was treated very well. The part was shipped immediately and arrived in perfect new condition. It fits both the DeWalt and Porter Cable 4 1/2 inch grinder/cutters. I feel safer cutting metal with this extra protection, which by the way, is recommended by the manufacturer.
