This replacement guard assembly is an authentic OEM part designed for Porter Cable angle grinders. It is used to direct dust and trimmings away from the user. This guard is made out of metal and it is sold individually. Replacing this guard is a simple task that does not require any tools. The guard is pre-adjusted to the diameter of the gear case hub at the factory. If, after a period of time, the guard becomes loose, tighten the adjusting screw with latch in the closed position and guard installed on the tool.

Replaced the guard on my grinder so I could use a cutter blade on my grinder. Very easy to change, just flip the lever and take the old one off, then tighten the lever to install the new one
