Remove the rear cover and separate. Make a note or take a picture of where all the parts inside are located. Remove the cord clamp. Remove the wires from the old switch and connect them to the new switch. screw in the cord clamp. Screw the housing back together.

1. Took two screws out of the handle to separate the handle in half
2. Unscrewed two screws that held the power cord in place from the handle half
3. Pulled the Switch out a little to unplug two wire\'s with clips that attached the switch to the Motor
4. Unscrewed two screws that held the power cord to the switch ... Read more />5. Did everything in revers order, being careful not to lose the trigger lock and spring in the handle half as they will fall out if your not careful, this was a Makita Grinder as other brands may be a little different.
