1. removed the 2 screws holding the end cover and power cord boot.
2. cleaned every where I could with the cover off it was pretty dirty.
3. removed the lever it appeared ok but I ordered a new one swapped the spring from the old
lever to the new one.
4.installed the new lever holding it forward so the new switc h could be installed.
5. tested the switch function, worked as it should.
6. re installed the cover and cord boot.
7.tested and it works perfect.
I took the grinder end apart(4 screws), cleaned it and greased the worm drive and put it back together that took another 10 minutes but I had a beer while I did it so that added some time.
it took me longer to do this review than it took to do the repair
