This part is available as an individual replacement. The push rod attaches to the motor housing. A set of pliers might be helpful during the installation of this item. It is made of metal and will need to be replaced if it breaks. This is an OEM replacement part for use in grinders, sanders, saws, buffers, and drills made by Cleco and Dotco.
