This is an original DeWalt replacement part manufactured for use with angle grinders. The armature is the main component of the grinders electric motor. The armature is comprised of a shaft, copper windings, and commutator bars. If the grinder gets overloaded the windings can become very hot, and eventually melt. This replacement armature is a complete assembly, included is the bearings, seals, fan, and bevel gear, the armature is sold individually.

Disassembled the tool as prescribed in the video.
Completed the repair. I had some difficulty removing the old armature as it was stuck in the tool. It was necessary to use some vice grip pliers to remove it.
I took the unit apart on both end and removed the brush\'s first and then pulled the Armature out and put in the new parts and then replaced the cord last

Didn\'t sound right. Winding came out of armature.
Took 4 screws out removed brushes and removed armature,
Replaced it with new one,
Installed brushes, installed outer housing, reinstalled 4 screws, presto new grinder!
