This is an original DeWalt replacement part, it is not an aftermarket imitation. The pinion gear has been sourced from the manufacturer to be used with angle grinders. This item connects to the armature drive shaft and is used to engage the bevel gear in order to rotate the grinder's spindle. This pinion gear is available as an individual replacement part. Please note the pinion gear is also included with the complete armature assembly part number; N397998.
