Guard couldn\'t be tightened and needed replaced

Removed the old guard and discarded. I used a Philips screwdriver to loosen the adjustment screw. Start with the grinder unplugged, no grinding wheel, and with PPE applicable to your industry standards. Install the new guard in whichever position necessary then tighten the adjustment screw until it clamps tight on the grinder.

Remove the grinding wheel and installed the new guard. Then put the grinding wheel back on.

Lost grinder guard.

Original cover spring broke and eventually fell out rendering the grinder useless because the cover would not in place. It just flopped all around.

1. Ordered replacement spring and cover retainer.
2. Removed grinding disc by unlocking the drive nut with supplied spanner wrench.
3. Removed the support by pulling up with fingers.
4. Removed screws along with lock washers that hold in the cover retaining plate.
5. Lifted off the retainer plate and cover.
6 . Inspected cover for damage and corrected by filing.
7. Placed new spring into position with bent tab up.
8. Replaced repaired cover and cover retainer and screwed down retainer screws.
9. Replaced grinder disc components and put grinder back in service.
