I checked the power cord and on/off switch for continuity and both were good
I removed the motor contact brushes and noticed that they were significantly worn down
I also noticed a small spring protruding from one of the contact brushes
The common fix note on the website stated that one of the most common fix for my pro blem was brush replacement.
Ordered the replacement brush set and installed easily.
Grinder works great
Note: I used the exploded parts diagram to figure out how to disassemble the tool

My Bosch 1810PS 4-1/2\" Grinder stopped working. No Sound, No Movement whatsoever

1.) Unplugged unit.
2.) Using a Slotted Screwdriver or T15 Torx, I removed the (4) screws holding the two covers over power switch. I then pried the two covers apart and off the tool with a slotted screwdriver.
3.) Using a Digital Multimeter (a VOM or Continuity Tester will work also) I checked for continuity thru both wires i n the power cord one at a time from the plug prongs to the power switch. I made sure to wiggle the power cord while checking continuity. I had continuity thru both wires.
4.) Next using the Multimeter I did the same continuity check for both poles of the power switch, one pole at a time. This also checked out OK.
5.) Next using a small Slotted Screwdriver I released the spring holding tension on one brush in its holder. I pulled the brush out while leaving its braided wire still connected to its terminal.
6.) The brush still appeared to have some life left in it by its size, but there was a black plastic pin sticking out of the brush face. Bosch has incorporated a spring loaded plastic tipped plunger into the back of the brush and this plunger is exposed when the brush wears down to a certain height. When the plunger is exposed the spring in the plunger lifts the brush off of the commutator so no electrical connection is made and the tool will not work. Bosch did this to save the tool from being destroyed by running the brushes down to the very end. So it appeared at this point all I needed was brushes. The commutator looked good.
7.) I also checked for continuity thru both stator coils with the multimeter. This required unplugging both brushes, one at a time. I used a small pair of needle nose pliers to unplug the brushes. The Stator Coils also checked fine.
8.) So I ordered a new pair of brushes. I installed them making sure the brush braided cable is routed correctly so as to not inhibit brush movement. I reinstalled both covers over the switch, powered up the tool, and it worked just fine.
