This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Chicago Pneumatic sanders. The sanding pad is commonly used to mount the sanding discs. Sanding pads can wear out over time and replacing a worn pad will provide a more stable sanding surface. This sanding pad is available as an individual replacement part.

1- Gripped sander disc hub with pliers to hold in place; pushed locking ring in to engage hole in shaft
2- Turned disc off counter-clockwise by hand
3- Reversed procedure to install new disc; pulled locking ring out from shaft
Removed the worn pad, then all of the internal parts until I got to the bearing in the hub. Installed the new bearing. Replaced the internal parts as they were and then installed the new pad.
