Product Description ?

This is a genuine Kawasaki replacement oil filter. It is sourced directly from original manufacture for use with 4 stroke engines. The purpose of an oil filter is to remove dust and other contaminants from the oil. This item is designed in accordance with applicable EPA emission regulations to maintain optimum performance. It is recommended to replace oil filter at least once a season. Includes one (1) filter.

Replacing an oil filter is a simple and quick task that should only require a filter or a pipe wrench.

• Remove the old filter by twisting counterclockwise on the body
• Clean the surface of the oil filter adapter
• Lightly oil the filter gasket with clean oil
• Secure the new filter by hand until the gasket contacts the filter adapter
• Tighten the filter an additional 1/2 to 3/4 turn

    Remove the clamps from the fuel lines holding the filter
    Remove the old filter and replace it with the new one, Replace the clamps
    Drain the oil, remove the old oil filter and install the new one. Fill with new oil
    Remove the air filter case, loosen the clamp, remove the old air filter and install the new one
    Replace the clamp and the air filter case

    Measured oil and poured into oil port.

    Used internet to locate engine wiring diagram. Corrected diagram to actual existing harness. Verified wiring continuity to carb fuel shutoff circuit. Replaced intermittently grounding wire harness. Performed maintenances required.

    Spring Tune Up Needed

    Removed Enginge Shroud Using socket wrench
    Cleaned out engine cooling fins with a clean paint brush
    Removed old fuel filter using pliers On clamps after squeezing fuel supply line coming from tank
    Replaced Fuel filter with new one and replaced 2 of the small fuel one clamps
    Removed air filter tube and replaced with new one including new air filter clamps then replaced
    Air filter and pre filter with new one
    Removed spark plus wires using pliers and removed spark plugs with socket wrench and spark plug socket. Then installed new spark plugs with new ones and replaced spark plug wires.
    I also vacuum operated fuel pump with new one and replaced a section of fuel line with new line from auto parts store
    Drained the old engine oil into oil drain pan then removed and replaced engine oil filter. Refilled with new oil ( 2 quarts).
    Removed and replaced oil filler neck and o-ring with new oil filler neck and o-ring.
    Replaced engine shroud onto engine and replaced tractor hood.

    3. Closed oil drain valve
    4. Coated new filter gasket with a light coat of oil and replaced into engine.

    Remove air filter cover and replace air filter.
    Emptied the oil and replaced the oil filter, then put new oil in.
    Removed the old fuel filter and replaced it with a new one.
    Removed the old spark plug and gapped the new one at 0.030 and installed it.

    1. After I gathered the oil pan, I drained the engine oil.
    2. After a few minutes I took my tool and screwed off the old filter and prepared the new one for placement... Before screwing it in its place I coated the new filters gasket with oil.
    3. Screwed the new filter into place and tightened both the filter and the drain plug.
    4. I then added the recommended oil level.
