To assess if a pivot nut needs replacement, examine it for signs of rusting, damage, or stripping. To replace the pivot nut, consult your user manual for guidance on locating and accessing it beneath the rear vise jaw. Typically, you will start by unthreading the bolts securing both the vise jaw and the main block, allowing you to lift them out of place. Using a punch and mallet, gently detach the snap-in crack from the vise screw. Once the vise screw is released, you can withdraw it from its slot, along with the pivot nut.
