The Motor with 12 Teeth is NLA. This motor has 10 Teeth
This is an original KitchenAid part. This motor is used in all 6 quart mixers. This part comes with the field, armature, bearings, brushes, and leads. This motor is held into place with only two screws and is easily replaced. The motor should be replaced if is have over heated, there is heavy sparking, or if there is no power running through it at all. To replace this part, first remove the motor housing by taking out the one screw for the Trim Band (part number 9708371) and then the four screws for the motor housing. Once the motor housing has been removed the Transmission Housing (8212396) can be removed by unscrewing the four screws. Next, you will need to unclip the Sensor (9703312) from the housing of the motor. Finally, remove the two screws that hold the motor and disconnect the leads from the board.
