Took off guard with Phillips screwdriver.
Took screws out of motor housing and handle with a star screwdriver.
Have to split a couple of stickers to separate housing and handle.
Transfer motor into new housing and reassemble.
Put guard back on, works great !

Simple repair, unscrewed about 9 screws, removed 1 plastic ring. Both sides came apart easily, and back together easily.

3. Used saved screws to secure new housing
4. Tested trimmer. Works like a charm.

Took all the screws out, used the diagram from replacementparts.com to take the parts off, then replaced with the new. Works like new!!
