    Drill motor was seized up

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, small star drive screwdriver, solder gun, needle nose pliers

    Remove all star screws, there is one longer screw so note the location for reassembly
    Remove small clip where battery slides in
    Remove 1 half of case
    Drive out the 2 retaining pins that secure the motor to the chuck
    Unsolder the two motor leads
    Install new motor to the chuck add a dab grease to gear
    Solder the leads to motor
    Reassemble the case

    Screwdriver, Soldering iron

    Remove screws on motor housing, pull out motor and unsolder motor. Solder motor connections (look for black next to connections on motor) for black wire placement then reassemble.

    Original motor went up in smoke

    Pliers, Torx screwdriver bit, soldering iron flux and solder

    Remove the screws from the housing and separate carefully
    Unsolder the old motor and remove it
    Install the new motor and solder the leads on to it
    Screw the housing back together

    Pulled screws from front, then side, split case, removed innards, unsolder old motor, soldered new motor, reassembled.
