why are these tines so costly when the whole tiller only cost $950 ?

I have a Troy Bilt Pony rider with 7 speed manual transmission. The transmission belt broke and hit a cable running from transmission to speed shifter. Now the rider is in 1st gear constantly even when selector is in 7. What is the cable part number? I need to get one. I don't have a book as this mower was inherited.
