Engine rpm, no load

Hi Garth and thank you for contacting us. To set up the engine to perform correctly you will have to set the governor in order for the engine to run correctly. First, loosen the arm so it can move freely. Fully open the throttle making note of which direction the arm moves when doing this. With the throttle fully opened move the governor shaft in the same direction the governor's arm moved. Hold the shaft in its new position and tighten the nut at the base of the arm. Release the throttle and make sure it moves freely. I hope this helps and good luck with your repair.
